1st Annual Gospel Bluegrass Festival!!

Sandy Creek Baptist Church will be hosting the First Annual Gospel Bluegrass Festival this October 13th. This event will be held on the church grounds and we are currently looking for bands that may wish to participate. So far we have our band, Sandy Creek Gospel Bluegrass Band, The Glorybound Band, another group who does not have a handle. Rock Solid BlueGrass will also be playing. The event starts at 10:00 am with an open mic until around 12 noon. Cost to attend is $10 an adult, but not to exceed $25 for a family. There will be activities for the children, a brunswick stew will be made and food available all day! For more info, contact Bruce Almarode at sgtalmarode@tds.net

Just a note, Sandy Creek Baptist Church is located in Deatonville, VA. Actual address is 25450 E Saylers Creek Rd, Jetersville, VA located 17 miles West of Amelia Courthouse and 16 miles east of Farmville.

Our line up is as follows:

Silvermine at 12 pm,
Glorybound at 1pm,
Sandy Creek at 2 pm,
Rock Solid Bluegrass at 3 pm.
and The Yoder Family at 4 pm.

Still looking for another band or two.

Open mic from 10 am to 12 pm.

Tickets are $10 per person or $25 for a family.

Also will have a Brunswick stew on site, an old-time musical instrument display and a moon walk for the kids!

Festivities start at 10 and end at 6 pm.
